  • Output 8 ½ x 11 prints of all your portfolio work for your portfolio book. (process book and other prototypes can go in side pockets).
  • Take home presentation boards and other work you might want to keep. Don’t wait till Thursday.

  2. Save whatever work you want to take home on a flash drive (remember that your Lightroom catalog and raw photographs are saved locally) see Ms. V if you need a flash drive
  3. Clean workstation & monitor
  4. Remove your work from the walls
  5. Recycle files you do not need. Printed projects and prototypes in good condition may be donated to the classroom as samples, as can manila folders with minimal writing
  6. DO NOT delete project/assignment work off of the server
  7. DO delete all personal files off of desktop/server

EOY Housekeeping/Procedures

  1. Laptops do not leave the DCM lab. 
  2. Workstations must be left in the condition that they were when you came. Please organize, recycle, take home work.
  3. Server: Update your personal server folder with all project work from this year (make sure it is in GD2 folder). Delete any personal work or Design Studio work that is in your personal folder on the server. DO NOT touch the jobshop folder files (unless it is the clean up a job you have not yet been assessed on)

    • MHS bus leaves CTE at 1:00 pm. This is the only bus back to MHS today

  • Portfolio practice:

  • Portfolio:
    • PRESENTATION SCRIPT:
      1. Write script, using work from English as your base. Include introduction, transitions between pieces and conclusion. Print and turn in.
      2. Revise script based on feedback.
      3. Gather any prototypes you plan on using for your presentation (CD case, bookjacket, product label, etc) and place on shelf next to boards
      4. Presentation Practice
      5. Practice, practice, practice at home, on the bus, everywhere!
  • When you are done….

Late or Missing Work:

  • See Gradebook.
  • MOUNTING:
    1. Photo Prints; export high resolution jpegs out of Lightroom— full size (high quality)
      • put on the server (workgroup/DigitalPhotos_toPrint_2016-17), Ms V will print on the Epson.
    2. Collect your boards once you have sign off on your practice mounting
    3. Prior to mounting, decide how you will mount each piece (multiple pieces, scale pieces up for viewing ease, only showing select portion/s of a dimensional piece).
    4. Print on good quality paper stock 28 lb/coated (see Ms. V), trim and mount.
    5. All boards must be kept on the bookshelf!
