GSTA will be celebrating ALLY Week November 17-21, and we want to get you involved! In honor of this, GSTA students will offer fun and informative events across the week. As part of our celebration we will hand out ALLY stickers & buttons in the Caf Lobby. GSTA is conducting a design contest, so get creative and send us your ideas for ALLY Week stickers or buttons! Who knows, you could see your winning design worn by your fellow students and staff! Please submit all designs to Deb in room C125C or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 11/12.
Plus, stay tuned… we’ll be rolling out our new name during ALLY Week!
On behalf of GSTA, thank you!
GSTA meets Thursdays at 7:30 in Library Conference Room #2. All are welcome!
Being an ally means…
- Intervene, if you safely can, in situations in which students are being harassed.
- Don’t use anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) language or slurs.
- Support efforts to make this and every school safefor all students.
